Research Interests
My research interests generally include applying optimization, communications, and signal processsing techniques for smart grids. Currently, I am interested in the following topics:
Electric power grid resilience and restoration
Demand response in smart grids
Cyber-physical system modeling
Infrastructure interdependency modeling and analysis

[12/2022]: Our paper “Analytical Derivation of Frequency Response Rate Constraint in Distribution System Restoration with Single Master Diesel-based DG” is accepted to IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid and early access is available now.
[09/2022]: Our papers “Boost Distribution System Restoration with Emergency Communication Vehicles Considering Cyber-Physical Interdependence” and “Resilient Distribution System Restoration with Communication Recovery by Drone Small Cells” are accepted to IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid and early access is available now.
[01/2022]: Our paper “Resilience Metrics for Integrated Power and Natural Gas Systems” is accepted to IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid and early access is available now.
[08/2021]: I served as a guest editor for IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, Special Section on Sustainable Energy for Enhancing Grid Resiliency.
